Nuke User Group Tonight at Arc

Tonight is the Nuke User Group at Arc Productions. You can still register if you plan on attending here.

In the spirit of the season, there will be some giveaways at the meeting tonight. Digital Tutors has been kind enough to donate three 1-month subscriptions to their website that I’ll be giving away, and The Foundry may just have a few things as well.

We have a great lineup of presentations starting with Deke Kinkaid from The Foundry. Deke is one of The Foundry’s Senior Creative Specialists and this is his third time presenting at the User Group. He’ll be showing the new features of Nuke 9 and Nuke Studio.

Graham Clark is the head of Stereography at Stereo D and will be talking about stereo concepts and how they use Nuke in their studio.

Pixomondo Toronto will be bringing John Dinh and Eric Covello to present some of their latest work on Game of Thrones and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.

Doors open at 6:30 and the presentations will be starting at 7pm. Arc Productions is located at 230 Richmond Street East.

Yesterday’s big news is that The Foundry is expected to be put up for sale by their investors ‘The Carlyle Group’. I can only pray that they are not purchased by Autodesk.
