Hiring events:

Pixomondo's Summer Recruitment Party takes place tonight at 220 Adelaide St West. from 6 to 9pm.  From the look of their website it looks like they're working on high profile films like Wonder Woman, xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, Power Rangers and the next Fast and Furious film.  Nothing about the event says it's for former Arc artists only so I assume any interested artist can attend.  Register here to attend and get more info. (I don't believe registration is mandatory)

There will be a presentation at 6:30pm, so keep that in mind if you're planning to attend.

If anyone attending can send me pictures and reports of what goes down I'll post updates on the site tomorrow.

In related Pixomondo news, they released their breakdowns from Season 6 of Game of Thrones (done by their Frankfurt studio)

Work from Pixomondo's Toronto studio and Mr.X Inc made V-Ray's demo reel showcasing some of the best use of their renderer.

Cinesite is here in the city today and tomorrow.  Register here to schedule a meeting. If you'd like to learn more about this studio I recommend you watch this talk from the Annecy Festival earlier this year.  In the video they talk about their plans for the Montreal office.

This is a early preview and breakdown of my voxel rendering engine for Nuke. It is still early and have quite a few small quirks, but it is progressing steadily.
